Where is he based?
I live in the capital city of Germany – Berlin. Since moving here in 2001, I have seen this city transform itself literally before my eyes. When I arrived, construction sites and cranes dominated the major parts of the downtown area. The Brandenburg Gate was still scarred with shrapnel marks and grit and grime. The old East-German government house stood empty and forlorn. The Pergamon Museum looked from the outside just as it did in 1945. It was fascinating to see the city then just a decade after reunification of Germany. The city was still very much in transition. 12 years on, the Brandenburg Gate it is almost better than when it was first built. Pergamon is getting a face-lift. The Old City Castle is being rebuilt. And the new main train station is an engineering wonder! I have never lived in a city that has in such a short time remade itself, and I am happy to have witnessed it.

Anything Else?
Oh, one more thing. Before attending University in Canada, I spent a little over a decade in the real world. I worked as a carpenter and cedar/slate roofer in Rhode Island and Massachusetts USA. In the USA/Canada I worked in industries including water control products, eye glasses, industrial staplers, printing (Heidelburg Press), and Health Care/Pharmaceuticals. I have real world experience in manufacturing and construction.
